SHIRLEY – In the first half it was Seth Dudeck, and in the second half it was Nash Farmer, as the pair combined to score 21 points in leading Heber Springs to a 65-35 victory over Shirley.
Dudeck paced the starters in the first half with 10 points as Heber Springs led 22-6 at the end of the first quarter and 34-17 at half.
In the second half, Farmer led the reserves with 11 points as the Panthers out scored the Blue Devils 16-15 in the third quarter and 15-9 in the final stanza.

HEBER SPRINGS — Jovie Smithson finished with 10 points and Ada Choate added a pair of 3-pointers in lifting Heber Springs to 32-15 victory over Guy-Perkins Monday night at the Panther Den in junior girls play.
The victory improved the Panthers to 1-4 on the season.
With the game tied at 8-all at the half, Heber Springs outscored the Thunderbirds 15-4 in the third quarter to pull away as Choate had five points, including a 3-pointers; and Smithson and Taylor Parker each had four.

Newport led 17-10 at the half and 25-13 at the end of the third quarter.

HEBER SPRINGS – Heber Springs got eight points from Sophie Joyner and seven points from Mackenzie Lozeau as the Panther seventh-grade girls basketball team claimed a 24-15 win over Newport.
Heber Springs (1-1) led 6-3 at the end of the first quarter, but trailed 12-11 at the break, thanks in part to four 3-pointers by the Greyhounds.
Newport would add another 3-pointer in the second half, but the Panthers would outscore the Greyhounds, 13-3, in the second half to claim their first win of the young season.
