Heber Springs falters at Cedar Ridge

NEWARK – Heber Springs led 17-11 at the half but couldn’t hold on in dropping a 41-37 nonconference junior boys contest with Cedar Ridge.

Heber Springs, which led 8-2 at the end of the first quarter, was outscored 17-9 in the third quarter.

Liam Buffalo paced the Panthers with 19 points.

NEWARK – Three Heber Springs players finished in double figures as the Panthers downed Cedar Ridge, 40-23, in seventh-grade action.

Josiah Riggs paced Heber Springs with 13 points while Rhett Herring added 12 and Samuel Bush 10.

Heber Springs led 19-8 at the half.
